Diffusion of point source pollutants in the tee structure

Abstract The tee structure is an integral part of the water distribution system, and pollutants diffuse in complex ways within structure. In this paper, diffusion pattern contaminants was examined using a combination numerical simulations experiments. coefficient variation chosen as evaluation indicator, uniform length (LU) defined to quantify location Several factors were used investigate pollutant pipe, including pipe diameter, break location, inlet Reynolds number, outlet flow ratio, brine rate, density. Results show that diameter all significantly affect diffusion. LU increased coefficient, increased. addition, equations for calculating fitted dimensional analysis can be predict under other conditions well.
